Don't need to be professional to be a gardener!

It's a common misconception that you need to be a professional to be a gardener. While it's true that a green thumb can be helpful, there are plenty of ways to get started without any experience.

Many local nurseries and gardening stores offer classes on topics like planting and care. There are also a wealth of resources available online and in libraries. The most important thing is to start slow and small, with just a few plants. As you gain experience, you can add more plants and experiment with different techniques.

With a little time and effort, anyone can become a successful gardener.

Step One: Get a FREE advice

Where can you get FREE advice about starting gardening on a budget? Definitely Google or simply follow konzept garden blog for free tips on gardening. Also, Pinterest is a great place to look for budget-friendly gardening ideas.

Step Two: Buy seeds instead of plants

When choosing plants for your garden, be sure to select varieties that are known to be inexpensive. Some good options include Chilis, Lime Trees or Mint Leaves.

One way to save money in your garden is to buy seeds instead of plants. This is a great way to get a wide variety of plants for your garden, and you can often find seeds for a fraction of the price of plants.

Additionally, it is usually easier to find the varieties of seeds that you want than it is to find the exact plants that you are looking for. To get started, simply purchase some basic gardening supplies and some quality seeds.

Then, follow the instructions on the seed packets to plant your seeds. With a little patience, you will soon have a beautiful and bountiful garden.

Step Three: Buy affordable soil that is organic

There is plenty of soil you purchase out there at the nursery as low as RM3 but in the long run that does not help you plant and budget because you will have to purchase extra ingredients like a plant fertilizer.

Look for an organic potting mix, which is a bit more expensive but will save you money in the long run. Konzept Garden provides a good organic Soil mix for any type of gardening at only RM12.90 (Nutrisoil Supreme)

Step four Grow Living Mulch Plants

Mulch is one of the best ways to save money on watering your garden. All sorts of species make valuable free mulch. For example, Lemongrass, Vetiver grass, and Sugarcane.

When these plants are pruned, they leave behind valuable mulch that can be used to protect your other plants from the sun and retain moisture in the soil.

Step 5 Pick a low-maintenance plant or flowers

The plants must be able to survive on their own. Therefore, they are well adapted to your growing conditions and climate and, once established. do fine with only compost and mulch added to the soil.

Spending money on plants that will struggle or die is a waste of time and money since you are on a mission with a low budget.

Now it's time to get organized and plan your dream garden. This is the most important step because it will determine how successful your gardening efforts will be. Remember gardening is not stressing you out instead it should be fun and enjoyable.

So good luck. I hope these tips were helpful. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible

happy gardening!

Sincerely,
